~A safe and reliable Japanese drones that prioritizes ease of use
and safety from the operator's perspective.~
December the 19th, 2024
NTT e-Drone Technology Corporation
NTT e-Drone Technology Corporation (Headquarters: Asaka City, Saitama Prefecture; Masahiro Takizawa, President & CEO; hereinafter “NTT e-Drone”) will being offering the “EC101 connect for YellowScan,” a Japanese produced survey drone that can be equipped with a LiDAR*1 by YellowScan*2 , a manufacturer of UAV*3 mounted LiDAR, on December 19, 2024. We will contribute to the development of the surveying industry and security by providing Japanese produced drones that are both easy to use in the field and safe to prevent accidents, from the perspective of UAV surveying operators.
●Main Features
I. Can be equipped with a mid-size class high-performance LiDAR manufactured by YellowScan
The vehicle can carry payloads up to 5 kg, such as YellowScan's medium-size class high-performance LiDARs (“Vx20 series”, “Navigator”), and can fly up to 25 minutes with a payload of approximately 3.5 kg (“Vx20” with dedicated bracket). The YellowScan bracket (for “Vx20 series” and “Navigator”) can be directly attached to the body of the vehicle.
※With Navigator, a green laser, mounted
II. Secure Platform
Based on “Skynode” equipped with a flight controller, a mission computer and LTE connectivity by Auterion*4, with whom we entered into a comprehensive partnership in July 2021, and equipped with a Japanese-made flight controller and mission computer developed by us, a security-conscious and highly secure platform.
III. Convenient, safe, and easy-to-use GCS design
Auterion Mission Control, which supports Japanese language, is adopted, providing a user interface that is easy for Japanese users to navigate. Mission creation can be completed directly on the transmitter, making it easy to design flight plans on-site. Additionally, it features automated functions for takeoff, landing, and calibration flights, reducing the operator's workload. Furthermore, it ensures safe operability with built-in measures to prevent incorrect.
IV. A lightweight and compact aircraft that is easy to handle.
With a body weight of 6.8kg and a compact design of 611mm × 560mm × 684mm when the arms are folded, the vehicle is lightweight and easy to carry, making it suitable for transportation in various environments.
●Tristan Allouis, CEO of YellowScan, comments
I am very glad to see this partnership taking-off. The industry was in need of a Japanese drone capable of carrying our high-end LiDAR systems. I look forward to seeing many of these drone-LiDAR bundles on the market, enabling our customers to deliver meaningful data for the sustainable management of human activities and the mitigation of natural hazards.
